I still remember 😊

I still remember,
remember those promises
That we made!

The beautiful vows we made together,
living by each other's side forever and ever!
Those vows of getting married and going to our favorite honeymoon destination,
Living to the fullest and spending whole life with love sensation!

I was always scared that you might leave me someday because of my imperfection,
but you assured me that you wont ever do that as I had become your obsession!
I build this palace of our promises and topped it with my emotion,
we were in cloud nine and were revolving around each other with that rotation!

I still remember,
remember those promises
That we made!

Then, you made me crazily fall in love with you,
and you started drifting apart and giving me love back which was only few!
That was still enough for me to hold us together forever,
but you went away leaving me in the chaos of emptiness and told me, "Its over"

I cried and begged and tried everything to fix it together back again,
but there was never "love" from your side ever and you found someone with more profit and gain!
It was hard honey, giving everything and then left in that emptiness,
feeling cold, waiting for you and was only filled with loneliness!

I still remember,
remember those promises
That we made!

Those scars of heartbreak were not healing and I was drowning,
Drowning deep into the thoughts of you and then the memories haunting back running!
After a lots of falling down, I finally got this courage to get back again,
That scars slowly healed and the only love that I wanted was "love for myself" which was lacking and wanted to regain!

Slowly slowly, I got this strength to understand what I deserved,
you were not lucky enough to value the gems that were inside me reserved!
I don't blame you for making me fall down,
but want to thank you for making me stronger and putting life into this clown 😊

I glanced at my wrist watch, It was 7:10am and he was already 10 minutes late. My heart bumped with every second that passed in that cold winter morning. Even it was the coldest day of winter, the sun was bright in the sky, bringing joy to my heart.  Even the coldness upon my face was refreshing and my body felt cozy inside that warm red coat that he gifted me.  After a while, I saw him walking towards me.                            Time sailed and its been almost a year, right? I know that pretty much things swapped this past year, You! Me! and that universe we created. I know that there is no reason to bleed out these words for you. But, I just want to cascade this heaviness that I am carrying inside, since long.  I want to take this moment out, to thank you. Thank you for all that rough and tousled days you gave me because in this journey from hating me and then loving me, I found my inner self.  After you left, things went pretty bizarre.                              I woke up and find myself cold, I found myself in another world- a world of suffering. As, the numbness of sleep slowly faded from my limbs, I felt dead. I opened my eyes and gasped in a breath, but nothing came and I choked on my own dry tongue.  There was a silence to my soul as I was falling under the frost.  I could feel my heartbeat slowing down thinking about you. I woke up another day without you.
